Collect stackable items and put them up for sale in the auction house once you have a few stacks i.e. Cloth, Wool etc. Plenty of toons need these items for making everything from bandages to weapons and armour for themselves. Some players are just too lazy to mine this stuff so you will be providing a service to them and makeing a profit for yourself in the mean time.

Then as soon as you can, start making the dungeon runs. If you are an Alliance character, the Dead Mines, will most likely be your best bet to find itmes. Get as many green items as you can find. Offer them at the auction house. Enchanters will buy them so they can disenchant. Other players will buy them also since the need magical items to improve their characters. Blue items will be even better.

Check the Auction house for what is selling well at the moment. This is a great place to find the pulse of the market has to offer. If you can farm/mine some of the better selling items and get them to market fast, you will stand to make some even greater money for yourself!

If you solo adventure, then all the loot will be yours. Hunters and Paladins have been some of the best soloers. I have a level 45 Paladin who is never short of haveing gold. I take him soloing all the time and will make serious cash, which I will then give to my other toons.

Hunters make great soloers once they have a pet, you will want to take advantage of this. The more skilled you become when battling with your pet, the more gold you will earn.

9. Mining Skill from 65 to 125 in an Hour

One of the worst parts about leveling mining is when you are getting out of the Tin phase before the Iron phase. It's hard to find a large quantity of Tin, and it becomes tedious farming it. The easiest way to level up to 125 is to go to the Wetlands and find Thelgan Rock (it's near the entrance to Dun Algaz - location is 53,64). The cave there is full of spiders and Incendicite Ore that's used for a quest (Alliance only). Unfortunately, the ore itself is worthless and only used to complete the quest but you can mine it from skill 65 until about 125. The nodes respawn quickly and you can level up your mining in less than an hour if you're the only one in the cave. (You can also sell the Incendicite Ore on the Auction House to make a little extra gold in the process - get the quest from Pilot Longbeard in The Miltary Ward in Ironforge.)

8. The Mithril Circuit

If it were easy to find the rarer metals, you wouldn't be reading a WoW mining guide and you need to find a lot of mithril in order to skill up to the small Thorium nodes. The good news is that there's an amazing route through the Badlands where you are guaranteed to hit several mines every time. Just run in a ring around the outer rim of mountains in the Badlands. Towards the north the pickings are slimmer (especially because it is more traversed) but you'll still find Mithril and Iron around there. Generally, mines found toward the middle of the map will be Iron while the mountains around the edges of the map (especially in the south) contain more Mithril.

7. Learn to Smelt Dark Iron

You need to see an NPC named Gloom’rel inside of the "Chamber of the Sevens" in Blackrock Depths. He'll teach you how to smelt Dark Iron (if you have at least 230 mining skill) for two Star Rubies, ten Truesilver Bars, and twenty Gold Bars. After you're trained, you can smelt Dark Iron at the Black Forge which is also located in the Blackrock Depths. You need eight Dark Iron Ore to create one Dark Iron bar.

6. Finding Thorium Ore

Un'goro Crater is the best place to find Thorium nodes. Look in the Slithering Scar and Fire Plume Ridge for Thorium nodes and in the mountains around the edge. Burning Steppes is another great place to find Thorium - just make circuits around the zone and look for nodes to spawn in the lava cracks here. Like most ores it takes a ton of Thorium to get to 300 but it's used in many professions and sells very well on the Auction House.

5. Lesser Bloodstone Ore

Around level 35 you can get a quest from Krazak ("Favor for Krazak") in Booty Bay to go to "a mountain cave in Drywhisker Gorge, far to the north in the Arathi Highlands" and bring back 4 loads of Lesser Bloodstone Ore. The cave (at location 80,40 - go up the fissure in the mountains to get there) is guarded by level 35-38 Kobolds but they went down pretty easy to my level 35 Shaman. In addition to the Bloodstone deposits, the cave has four different chest spawn points along with plentiful Mithril and Iron nodes. After you complete the quest, you can easily sell your excess Bloodstone Ore in groups of four to other players who need to complete the quest. I would farm this cave and put up three auctions of four ores each night (in the Blackwater Auction House in Booty Bay) and sell out with a buyout of 95s each - not to mention the Mithril (around 30s each) you can sell too!

I'm not some twelve-year old kid on summer vacation or a retiree with way too much time on his hands. I'm a full-time, full-family, full- well, I'm just full! I don't have much time in the day to spend on myself so when the opportunity arises I make sure I don't squander it. If I'm lucky enough to get that time playing World of Warcraft, I find that using a guide like Joana's Horde Guide is a must.

I have compiled a list of the most import things every World of Warcraft player should know and follow. I have broken it down and listed what I think is the top five.

1.) Read your Quest Journal

Now we hate to snipe here, people, but the "L" key on your keyboard opens up your Quest Journal. Fortunately Blizzard has come up with a simple solution - just ask a city guard! They'll give you directions to everything in the city and even provide you with a little flag in your mini-map! You know, the employment situation in Azeroth must be pretty bad when you consider that most of these guards are level 75 or so and can easily wipe out virtually every monster in the game and they're taking the time out of their busy schedule to help you. The least you can do use their services. I don't even think they get paid!

3.) Every trade skill has a complement.

Players can only learn two "professional" trade skills (Fishing, Cooking, First Aid and a few others). Be aware that with the exception of Enchanting and Tailoring, every trade skill has a "gathering" skill and a "crafting" skill. Blacksmithing, for example, requires raw materials that can only be retrieved by Mining. Be sure you select the appropriate skill; otherwise you will end up buying raw materials at auction or trying to trade your raw materials for finished goods.

4.) The Num Lock key is your auto run.

This should be obvious, but you'd be surprised how many players forget to use their auto run. Auto run is your best friend. During long runs you can be checking your quest log, your inventory, or chatting with friends. Use it!

5.) Control your Pets!

This, of course, only applies to pet classes (Warlocks and Hunters), but if we had a gold piece for every Warlock and Hunter who left his pet on "Aggressive" we would all have a lot of gold pieces. Your pets are tools. They're used for very specific purposes. Putting them on Aggressive lets them attack indiscriminately and can draw a lot more monster attention than your group is ready to deal with. All too often a pet on the loose means death for the group and a long, boring corpse run.

Imagine yourself flying through the Outlands on your Netherdrake, decked out from head to toe in fancy Epics, able to purchase anything - I mean ANYTHING - you want or need, worshiped by your friends, dreaded by your enemies, a ONE MAN ARMY OF DESTRUCTION.....

Well, snap out of it!

What I'm going to show could make you a Warcraft Millionaire, but you'd be a greybeard by then. Instead, this method, when properly applied, will yield from 5 to 25 gold per day that you play, without you doing ANY effort.

At least once a day, maybe several times a day, you'll be visiting a city. Major city, minor town, Steamwheedle Cartel, whatever, it works everywhere, as long as there are vendors.

What you are looking for are vendors that have "rare spawn" recipes or items. I stick with the recipes myself, but it works just as well with items - health potions, mana potions, copper modulators (or whatever those gizmos are called).

Whenever you see them, buy them all. I mean ALL. It doesn't matter if they are selling for 5s or 5g, just buy them. Promptly mail them to your Auction Alt - you've got one of those, right? - and keep on playing, visiting more cities and buying more recipes.

At the end of the evening, or whenever you stop playing, log on with your Auction alt and post your recipes on the Auction House. The Auctioneer Add-On is of great help to figure out what you should be selling your loot for, but if for some reason you don't have it installed, a good rule of thumb is this: post for triple what you paid for it, and everything should sell. My favorites are the recipes that you can buy for 5-10s, because they usually go for at least 1g and you can really clean out.

A good example of this is [Pattern: Admiral's Hat] that spawns off Cowardly Crosby in Stranglethorn Vale. You buy it for 70s and you should have no problems selling it on AH for 6-7g. Now that's not a bad profit, if you were in the area.

Should you find that an item is not selling at the price you want, wait until there are no competing offers and list it then, it should sell. Alternatively, you could resist the temptation to be greedy and just drop the price a bit. Whatever floats your boat. Remember, you can actually afford to drop the price a LOT since you paid peanuts for the item in the first place.

I don't suggest going too much out of your way for strange vendors in even stranger places, but if you consistently buy every single rare spawn you can during the course of your adventures - and that will be every day you play - you will end up doubling or tripling (or better) your money every single night.

You will occasionally hear rants from people who complain about you making a profit from vendor items. Ignore them or tell them off, politely of course. They are nothing but smelly hippies who think the World (of Warcraft) runs on sunshine and puppy dogs, but you know better. How to Role Play a Player Killer by Nubby

Usually people assume player killers, or commonly referred to as pkers, are young, prepubescent teens with a complete disregard for the game environment or other players around them; this stereotype is perpetuated by those that lack the ability to successfully role play as a player killer and also the angered individuals you might have killed along your quest to infamy.

When killing another player usually players will degrade one another and let the victim know just how much he sucks or is getting “owned”. This is not necessary as the player can look at his health and make a rational conclusion that he is getting his assed handed to him. So, while you are killing this person make your kill quick and efficient. There is no point in rubbing it in as this will only delay the kill which could lead to outside influences such as his friends or others attacking you in this added time, or perhaps npcs (non player characters) could enter the equation and turn the tides of the battle. When killing your opponent you may have a signature saying however, or something to make your kill style unique from the rest. Common examples of this are tea bagging, corpse humping, dancing over their dead body, or a clever catch phrase like "Just Business"; the use of teabagging, corpse humping and dancing are very generic so you will want to use this celebration sparingly if at all. However, I feel unique clothing/avatar, example bright neon clothes will be memorable to your victim as well as your catch phrase.

Killing is part of the game, at least part of the server you chose!, so understand that every player likes the act of pvp, player versus player; but also realize the player enjoys the thrill of pking, and at times even being pked. We are player killers though, not griefers, camp spawners, or power hungry children; we kill for the thrill of the chase and the tear of joy that rolls down our cheek as our opponent takes a dirt nap. The real fun is in the hunt and the kill shot. What you do after this kill shot usually determines your status quo in the player killer world. Think of the most feared or best player killer you knew/know. Were they feared because they talked the most trash? I guarantee the answer is no. They were feared because you knew they were PLAYER KILLERS, not griefers, or smack-talkers. They have one goal and one focus…to kill you.

So now that you have successfully killed your prey you can choose what path to take. You can proceed to tea-bag his corpse, and dry loot (depending on the game), followed by res killing or corpse camping and a healthy round of Elite ownage speak…or you can simply say nice fight, or good try and move on to the next victim. Perhaps you can be as classy and marketing savy as the great Adam Ant from old school Ultima Online. His signature was leaving a red bandana…forcing his victims to wear it or face the consequences upon their next meeting. Whether it’s a clever catch phrase, or a signature of some type, player killers with class and style are the names echoed in virtual eternity and not the guy spamming NEWB!

For those of you who don’t know, the Sims Online is undergoing a revolution. Having been left standing for the last few years with little to no input, EA are at last re-shaping the game, and the world of multiplayer gaming as we know it. Sound like hyperbole? Perhaps, perhaps not; check out their latest addition to the online gaming experience: AvatarBook.

Facebook made flesh

So what is Avatarbook? Well, the clue is in the name. What is one of the largest social networking websites on the planet at the moment? That’s right -– Facebook. With over 58 million users, Facebook is the primary reason that many of us log on in the morning. But, as we all know, it has its limitations. As do online games.

One problem with online games is that they can be too divorced from reality -– you have your online friends, and your real-world friends, and the two remain firmly divided. Ditto Facebook -– your user-circle is limited by who you already know, and it’s hard to get to know people outside of that circle on a one-to-one basis without sharing all your private data or being introduced by a friend of a friend.

All that is set to change, with a new application that could change our networking community forever. When Linden Labs made Linden Dollars (the currency of the hugely popular game Second Life) exchangeable for real-world currency, they opened up the world of online gaming by bringing it into the real world. Now EA want to do the same thing, by allowing users of the Sims Online to link their Avatars' accounts to their Facebook profiles.

Sharing Information

Avatarbook has two faces -- the in-game version and the Facebook version. In-game you can use it much like Facebook, in that you can find other Avatars and view their limited profiles. For friends the full profiles are visible, with walls for people to write on and updatable status. Your profile will also show if your lot is open or not, and the application an be used to quickly make your way around EA Land as you jump from friend to friend.

In Facebook, the application shows your Avatar's details (unless you have chosen a private setting) and picture, and whether or not you are logged on to the game. This is a useful way for players to find out who is online without having to log in themselves. You can also invite other users of Facebook who are not already Sims Online players to download the application and see your Avatar profile -- a move that EA hopes will attract more people to the game.

For the time being, then, the bulk of information that can be shared is Avatar-related. Their skills, properties and friends can all be viewed, and their Wall. The identity of the real-life person behind the Avatar is kept private, at least for now.

Privacy

Privacy is a major issue as far as EA are concerned, so at the moment Avatarbook is fairly limited in how much information can be shared. In the Sims game you can add people to your friends list, which will provide them with a link to your Facebook profile rather than making a direct link, though that is set to change as the application grows. Also, nobody in EA Land (the Sims Online world where the application will be available) will have access to your real name - you will be searchable only by your Avatar's name. EA have stated that they intend to allow players to lower their privacy settings so that more information can be shared, but at the moment they're playing it safe.

The Future

This application obviously shows great potential, and it is something that EA are going to continue to develop as they gain feedback from users. The Sims Online game is going through a revolution at the moment, with their free trial set to become permanent free play in the very near future (with limited gameplay for non-payers, much like in Second Life). For years now Second Life has been leading the pack in terms of innovation and social interactivity, but if EA keeps this up then we could be looking at a new contender for the crown. After all, they did come up with the two most popular games of all time (Sims and Sims 2), so some would say that this is less of a surprise than a belated homecoming. Certainly one to watch, at any rate.

Don't worry if you don’t have a wireless router. You can still play Nintendo DS games online with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection if your PC has a broadband connection. All you need is Nintendo’s USB Connector. This plugs into your one of your PC’s USB sockets and doesn't even require you to set up the connection like a wireless router does.
